In an Australian first, Haymes Paint has launched an exclusive iPhone application (app) that makes matching colour on the move a breeze whilst reducing marketing consumables such as colour charts.

The app for iPhones features a Haymes screen icon; touch the icon and it launches the Haymes Colour Expressions iColour app. By simply taking a photo the program will enable you to record the image and match it with a colour from the Haymes Colour Expressions colour wall.

Wendy Rennie, Haymes Colour and Concept Manager, is excited about the possibilities the iColour program offers customers.

“The user can select which part of the program they would like to access; options include an existing colour library, colour schemes and store locator.  One of the most exciting options operates much like the iPhone 'Shazam' music program. The user can take a photo of a colour, the program will immediately match it to the closest colour in the Haymes Colour Expressions colour wall range, provide the name and complementary colour schemes.

The iColour program also enables customers to extend their vision and create a complementary palette using the Designer Scheme or Colour Theory options on the menu.  This will then provide options that can be saved for a later date or emailed directly to a friend…It’s that simple.
